Luxury Vinyl Plank

A Durable Floor Designed for Everyday Life

Luxury vinyl plank, commonly called LVP, has become one of the most popular flooring options for homeowners, and for good reason.

Modern LVP can create the appearance of hardwood while offering excellent durability, easy maintenance, and strong resistance to everyday spills and moisture.

It can be an especially good option for busy households, families with children, pets, kitchens, entryways, and homeowners who want a great looking floor without the maintenance requirements of real hardwood.

Things to Consider

Not all LVP is built the same.

Thickness, locking systems, core construction, wear layers, attached pads, warranties, and manufacturer requirements can vary significantly between products.

A beautiful sample does not automatically mean it is a high quality floor. We help homeowners understand what they are actually purchasing instead of choosing flooring based only on color.

LVP also requires a properly prepared subfloor. A floating floor does not mean the floor underneath it can be ignored.

Uneven areas beneath the flooring can create movement, stress locking systems, cause unwanted noise, or affect the finished installation.

Our process

How We Install Luxury Vinyl Plank

  1. The process begins with preparing the existing substrate.

  2. After the old flooring is removed, we inspect the surface for high spots, low spots, damage, debris, loose areas, and other conditions that could affect the new floor.

  3. When necessary, high areas are mechanically corrected and appropriate materials are used to address low areas.

  4. Once the substrate is properly prepared, we plan the flooring layout. We consider room dimensions, hallways, doorways, transitions, board direction, and the width of the first and last rows.

  5. The planks are then professionally installed according to the manufacturer's requirements, while maintaining the required expansion space around walls and fixed objects.

  6. The small details underneath the floor are often what determine how well the finished floor performs.
